My name is Malique Pye, I have been creating art of all forms my entire life. I began with, and continue, drawing and painting and I ventured into photography to create reference photos for my paintings. Through taking reference photos I sought out to better my photography skills to have better photos to use, and I slowly began to fall more in love with photography. If there is a way to express myself artistically I will do it.
 
 I am currently studying at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland Oregon working towards my BFA in Photography.My creative inspirations come from story telling; creating works of art that allow people to experience visuals in a more emotional way and allow me to express myself or thoughts how I interpret them. I believe every situations is an opportunity to express a story and I look to bring out the most creative side of the story I can interpret. 

My goal with my creative process is to create a piece of art that will inspire an experience in the viewer. I want the viewer to experience the energy and emotion I felt from the entire process of creating the piece of art.
